Review:

We went to Bentley, Ringmer on a warm, sunny Sunday in July 2007. 2 adults, one 4 yr old and 1 baby. Total cost to get in was just over £18.

First stop were the Bentley craft workshops where we saw wood being turned on a lathe and some beautiful wooden toys being being made by hand. It was hard to get out of there without buying a few things.

After this we headed into the Bentley car museum. Some stunning cars all very close and easy to view not very interactive but our 4 yr old seemed happy enough just to look.

After this we headed to the Bentley adventure playground and willow tunnels which were fun although the adventure playground was a bit dilapidated.

Next it was onto the Bentley miniature railway for a quick chuff around the track for an extra £1.40 (myself and 1 child).

Off to the Bentley Tea Rooms next for a sandwich and drink. £5 or so got us one good sandwich a drink a lolly and crisps some sweets and a coffee. We felt it was fair value but we we were glad we brought some picnic food too.

Next we visited the Bentley Palladial Mansion which was nto as grand as we expected but lovely to see. From there it was off to the Bentley Wildfowl park to see the collection of water birds who all seemed very happy sploshing about in their ponds. A good long walk was had by all.

Lastly it was into the Bentley House gardens for a stroll which we enjoyed too. We didn't do the big woodland walk as the boys are too small.

Overall we were glad we went and did't feel robbed by the pricing. It must cost a lot to run a place like that afterall. It wasn't crowded and was less formal than we expected. The staff were all kind charming and helpful especially to the children.

Would definitely recommend it to friends.
